Carl Sagan wrote these profound words in 1994 after seeing an image of the Earth taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft from a distance.

I added the voice narration to a video released by Google a few days ago. The video shows a time-lapse of the effects of humanity’s interaction with the environment, and emphasises the importance of environmental conservation.
